Regularly cleaning your wheelie bins is important for several reasons:
- Hygiene - Bins accumulate organic waste, food scraps, and other materials that can become breeding grounds for harmful bacteria, fungi, and pathogens, posing a health risk to you and your family. Regular cleaning helps to reduce these risks.
- Odour Control - Decomposing waste can lead to unpleasant odours, especially during warmer months. Regular cleaning reduces bad smells by eliminating residue that causes odour.
- Pest Prevention - Dirty bins attract pests like flies, rodents, and insects, which are drawn to leftover food and organic matter. Cleaning prevents infestations that can spread disease.
- Aesthetic Appeal - Clean bins look more appealing and help maintain a tidy and pleasant environment.
- Prolonging Bin Life - Regular maintenance prevents build-up of corrosive substances, which can degrade the material of the bin over time, extending its usability.
We have chosen to clean the bins the day after they are emptied for several reasons including:
- Reducing time pressure by lessening time waiting for bins to be emptied, therefore allowing more time to be spent actually cleaning your bin.
- During the winter months we complete a lot of our cleaning in the dark and by cleaning the day after being emptied, it is much safer for our crew and your neighbours.
- This practice is used by many bin cleaning companies throughout the UK and it is found to be more efficient with positive customer feedback.
Our cleaning operators will arrive and clean your empty bin as scheduled. The bin will then be placed back onto your property.
Ideally your bin would be empty when we arrive to clean it, however if you need to put waste into your bin after it has been emptied, then simply ensure it is bagged so we can remove the rubbish, clean your bin and place the bag back into it.
The answer is it is down to you! We can collect your bin from the road or from the front of your property, if you have pulled it in after being emptied. Once your bin has been cleaned by us, we will return the bin back where we collected it from or back onto your property.
Please ensure that your bin has your door number clearly labelled to assist our operators as much as possible.
We will add your bin to our schedule and it will be cleaned on the next date that we are in your area on your bin day, however, we will contact you to let you know when this will be.
Once you have had all the scheduled cleans that have been pre-paid for, we will send you another payment link to continue the service as previously requested.
If you wish to amend your booking in any way please let us know.
We clean all year round, however we miss the 13th cycle for domestic customers, which is generally around mid December to mid January. For this reason, we operate a 6 and a 12 clean schedule.
If we arrive to clean your bin and there is loose dog faeces or wet paint in it, unfortunately we will not be able to clean your bin at that time.
